The law of sin is man-made. It is self-created. This is how man has bound himself to his desires.
The Four Noble Truths are:
First, that life is dukkha, or "suffering." You have heard this pronounced as "dukka" but actually it is pronounced "dukk." Life is dukkha , or suffering.
Two, that the cause of this suffering is tanha, tanha, which is "desire" or "craving."
Three, that suffering will cease when the craving that causes it is forsaken and overcome. We must forsake it, then we must wage war against it and overcome it lest it overcome us. He taught that liberation through the cessation of suffering leads to nirvana, which means literally "extinction" or "blowing out"--the blowing out of the not-self.
The Fourth Noble Truth is that the way to this liberation is through living the Noble Eightfold Path, or the Middle Path. The Eightfold Path consists of the following attitudes of righteousness.
