The Buddhic Essence - Potential to Become the Buddha

One Buddhist text says, “The Germ of Buddhahood exists in every living being. Therefore, forever and anon, all that lives is endowed with the Essence of the Buddha”—the potential to become the Buddha. The Zen master Hakuin Zenji simply said, “all beings by nature are Buddha, as ice by nature is water.”
